Taylorsville Police Make Drug Arrest Sunday Night

On Sunday, October 5th, 2025, at approximately 11:50 PM, officers with the Taylorsville Police Department were investigating a suspicious vehicle at the Shell station on West Main Avenue.

During the investigation, a subject identified as Kenneth Dewayne Hill, age 55, exited the vehicle. Officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view on the floorboard, which led to a search of the vehicle. The search resulted in the seizure of multiple scales, drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine.

Hill was transported to the Alexander County Detention Center, where he appeared before a magistrate and was charged with the following offenses:

• Felony Possession of Methamphetamine

• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

• Driving While License Revoked

Hill received a $10,000 secured bond and remains in custody as of this report. A first court appearance is scheduled for today.
