Daniel Charles Schmidtka III, age 21 of Taylorsville, was detained by Taylorsville Police on Thursday, June 27th. He was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Schmidtka remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a bond listed at $5,000. He’s scheduled to make an appearance on Monday in Alexander County District Court.
