Taylorsville Police Charge Man With Long List Of Offenses

The Taylorsville Police Department arrested 38-year old Tony Timothy Martin on Tuesday. He’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, assault by communicating threats, assault on a government official, two counts of resisting arrest and driving with license revoked. Martin is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center.

Martin has a long history of convictions. In 2021 he led officers on a chase that ended on Antioch Church Road after he rammed an Alexander County Sheriff’s Office vehicle. In June, 2024 he was found guilty of a long list of charges as the result of the chase. Martin was given credit for time served in the Alexander County Jail (909 days) and released.
