Jeremy Lynn Benfield, 50, of Hiddenite, is back in custody. His latest arrest came on Monday May 4th when Taylorsville Police officers responded to Main Avenue Dr. after a subject allegedly punched a vehicle. Benfield was spotted standing in the roadway while cursing and shouting at oncoming traffic. Benfield was charged with disorderly conduct, impeding traffic and resisting arrest. He was held without bond because of previous pending charges including multiple counts of resisting arrest. Following an appearance in court bond was set a $25,000 in view of Benfield’s history of not cooperating with law enforcement.
