Taylorsville Police Arrest Couple After Report Of Shots Fired

A Hickory man and a woman from Lincolnton were taken into custody Friday night by Taylorsville Police.

Jasonie Mushalo McKinney, age 22 of Hickory, is charged with discharging a firearm in city limits, going armed to the terror of the people, carrying a concealed weapon and open container of alcohol. There is no report of the gunfire causing damage to persons or structures. McKinney has been released under a secured bond of $20,000. September 23rd is listed for an Alexander County District Court appearance.

26-year old Shamari Hyasia Jackson of Lincolnton was served a 2023 warrant for felony probation out of county. She remains in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond. Taylorsville Police say that Jackson was a passenger in a vehicle driven by McKinney.
