Luis Gerardo Lugo Negrete, 31 of Taylorsville, was taken into custody on Monday, January 13th by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He was served a warrant for failing to appear on a charge of possession of a counterfeit controlled substance and driving while license revoked. The original charges date to last February when Negrete was arrested by Taylorsville Police. As of the earlier today he remains in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $84,000.
