Taylorsville Man Serving Suspended Sentence Returned To Custody

Daniel Charles Schmidtka III, 21 of Taylorsville, was placed in custody on Monday. He’s charged with felony probation and is being held in the Alexander County Detention without bond. A February 3rd court date is scheduled.

Schmidtka has a number previous motor vehicle related offenses including driving with license revoked.

In November, 2024 Schmidtka was given a 24-month suspended sentence in Alexander County for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and attempted larceny.
