Christian Uriel Perez, 32 of Taylorsville, was sentenced to serve up to 15 months in prison this week in Alexander County District Court. He entered a guilty plea to possession of controlled substance on jail premises and carrying a concealed gun. He will be placed on probation at the conclusion of the sentence. As of earlier today, Perez remained in the Alexander County Detention Center awaiting transfer to the State Department of Corrections.
