Taylorsville Man On Sex-Offender Registry Arrested For Violation

Michael Shaun Worley, age 47 of Taylorsville, was arrested on Friday, January 10th in Alexander County. He was charged with multiple counts of felony failure to register as a convicted sex-offender and felony obstructing justice. He is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in District Court on Monday.

Worley was released from prison in November, 2024 after serving a 10-month prison sentence following a Caldwell County conviction for failure to register as a sex-offender. He was convicted in Burke County in 2017 for solicitation of a child by computer and indecent liberties with a minor.
