
James Edward Cook
An Officer with the Taylorsville Police Department conducted a traffic stop at around 5:00 am today with regards to a vehicle headlight out, a busted rear window, and no license plate displayed.
The driver was identified as 33-year-old James Edward Cook of Taylorsville. While speaking with the driver, Officers spotted drug paraphernalia in the center console. A search was conducted of the vehicle resulting in the seizure of methamphetamine, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
Cook was transported to the detention center where he appeared before a magistrate and received no bond due to being out on a prior release order.
Cook was charged with
•Felony Possession of Meth
•Possession of drug paraphernalia
•Resisting, delaying, or obstructing a public officer
•No Liability insurance and numerous other traffic charges
