
Jason Melvin Williams
Williams was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by officers on Paul Payne Store Road. Williams allegedly fled the vehicle but became entangled in a barbed-wire fence. Deputies quickly placed him in custody.
The charges filed initially include felony altering criminal evidence, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $20,000.
Later on Monday, Taylorsville Police served Williams with warrants in connection to the theft earlier on Sunday evening of a zero-tun mower and a trailer from a location on East Main Avenue. Williams is now charged with felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods. His total bond now is listed at $30,000.
