November 2, 2026 By Richard C. Gilbert

Jeremy Scott Oxentine

An Alexander County man who was arrested Friday morning after scuffling with County Deputies is back in custody.

As reported earlier, 43-year-old Jeremy Scott Oxentine, Fox Valley CT., Taylorsville, was arrested the morning of Friday, October 30th and charged with larceny, second-degree trespass, damage to personal property and resisting a public officer. According to the arrest documentation, Oxentine refused to cooperate with Deputies. After shoving an arresting officer, a taser was deployed. Oxentine posted a $7,000 secured bond and was released later the same day.

On Monday, an additional charge of second-degree trespass was filed and Oxentine was again detained by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. This time he’ll spend at least 48 hours in jail before a new bond is set.
