Taylorsville Man Jailed After Vehicle Pursuit

A Taylorsville man is in Iredell County custody after he was arrested Monday night following a vehicle pursuit and crash.

21-year-old Isaiah Jack Evans, Ralph Little RD, Taylorsville, was apprehended by the NC Highway Patrol. He was sighted by a Trooper on US 64 near Interstate 40 traveling over the speed limit. A traffic stop was attempted but Evans fled. A chase lasted until the Trooper used a PIT maneuver that caused the suspect vehicle to crash. Evans was not injured.

Charges include:

Felony flee to elude arreste
Failure to heed blue light and siren
Reckless driving to endanger
Damage to real property
Speeding
Driving with license revoked

Evans remains in the Iredell County Detention Center with bond listed at $25,000. An April 28th court date is scheduled in Statesville.
