The Lenoir Police Department has identified human remains that were found behind storage facility in January.
Officials say they received conformation from the North Carolina Chief Medical Examiner that the remains were identified as Jeffery Beach Laxton, age 59 of Taylorsville.
Laxton was reported missing by his family in Alexander County in August, 2024.
Police said no evidence of foul play has been discovered.
