Roderick Garin Baker, age 28 of Taylorsville was taken into custody on Friday, July 8th by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with resisting a public officer and was also served warrants for failure to appear on two previous counts of resisting a public officer. Baker was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center with a bond of $2,000. A Monday, July 11th court date is listed in Newton.
