Taylorsville Man Enters Plea To Obstruction Of Justice In Alexander County Murder Investigation

A Taylorsville man has been sent to prison for his role in an active Alexander County murder investigation.

On Monday, in Alexander County Superior Court, 36-year old Brandon Allan Blevins of Taylorsville, entered a guilty plea to a charge of felony obstruction of justice. He will serve 4-14 months in state prison.

Blevins was arrested in March of 2024 days after Pang Vueyee, age 33 of Newton was fatally shot at a residence on Old Mountain Village Drive in Hiddenite. Jason Henry Fidler, age 46 of Hiddenite, and Karla Breanna Freeland, age 19 of Iredell County were both charged with murder. Fidler remains in the Alexander County Jail with a $500,000 secured bond. Freeland is being held in custody with bond set at $1 million.

The obstruction of justice charge was the result of Blevins helping Freeland leave the scene of the murder.
