**Breaking News** Third Suspect Charged In Connection To Alexander County Murder

A third person has been charged in connection to an Alexander County murder.

As reported, Pang Vueyee, age 33 of Newton died at an area hospital Monday morning after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest. The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting took place around 1:30 am at 95 Old Mountain Village Dr in Hiddenite. Vueyee was staying at the home in recent days.

Jason Henry Fidler, age 46 of Hiddenite, was charged with murder Monday morning. He remains in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond.

18-year old Karla Breanna Freeland of Statesville was listed as a suspect and was taken into custody and charged with murder on Tuesday. Freeland was also charged with felony possession of narcotics on jail premises, Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell said on Tuesday that Freeland and Vueyee were involved in a relationship. The Sheriff also said the suspected murder weapon has been located.

We’ve learned that 35-year old Brandon Allan Blevins of Taylorsville has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the case. Sheriff Pennell would not elaborate but Blevins has been charged with felony obstruction of justice. He’s being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $15,000.

All three suspects have initial court appearances scheduled for Monday April 1st.

The Taylorsville Police Department, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Statesville Police Department and Homeland Security assisted in the investigation.
