A Taylorsville man has been jailed after he allegedly assaulted a Taylorsville Police Officer. On Saturday, Officers responded to a location near Shadowwood DR after a complaint was filed about a man in or near the street. The subject was said to be shouting and blocking traffic. 20-year-old Brandon Allan James confronted a Taylorsville Officer and spat and kicked him in addition to demanding to be shot. Allan has been charged with intoxicated and disruptive, assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. He being held in the Alexander County Detention Center.
