A Taylorsville man is being held in Iredell County custody as the result of an incident in Statesville earlier in the month. Victoreno Sotello Gil, 43 of Millersville Road, was taken into custody on October 8th by Statesville Police. The charges stem from an incident at a Statesville medical facility. Gill is charged with felony assault on a law enforcement officer with personal injury, two-counts of felony assault on emergency personnel with physical injury, felony assault by strangulation and damage to personal property. As of earlier today, Gil is confined in the Iredell County Detention Center with a secured bond set at $300,000. The next court appearance is scheduled for October 29th.
