James Edward Cook, 33, of Taylorsville, was detained Thursday morning by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cook is being held in the county detention center without bond due to some 27 previous charges that are still pending including felony drug offenses.
