Yancey Obrian Tanner
34-year-old Yancey Obrian Tanner was taken into custody on Tuesday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He was served a warrant for a Georgia probation violation. Tanner was convicted in 2011 in the state of Georgia for felony statutory rape. He served 10 years in prison.
Tanner is listed on the Alexander County Sex-Offender Registry and is being held under a secured bond of $250,000.
