Taylorsville Man Arrested On Felony Drug Charges

On Wednesday, September 25, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Taylorsville Police Department, Lenoir Police Department, and Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at 85 Arthur Jenkins Ln in Taylorsville. During the operation, officers seized methamphetamine and marijuana.

Curtis Walter Childers, 42 of Taylorsville, was arrested and charged with one count each of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine and marijuana; one count of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances; two counts of simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; and one count each of possession of drug and marijuana paraphernalia.

Childers has been released under a $60,000 secured bond and is scheduled for a first appearance in District Court on September 30th in Taylorsville.
