Taylorsville Man Arrested After Attempting To Conceal Drugs In His Sock

Officers with the Office of Probation and Parole arrested 39-year old Daniel Ray Burgess of Taylorsville on Thursday, September 7th for violation of his probation. He was taken to the Alexander County Detention Center where he was found to be in possession of drugs.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office charged Burgess with felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises. The meth was found in his sock by Detention Officers. Burgess is being held in custody with a bond set at $30,000.

A Monday, September 11th court date is scheduled in Alexander County District Court.
