Taylorsville Duo Charged With Child Abuse

A couple from Taylorsville is facing child abuse charges.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year old Laura Janel Dowdal and 60-year old Dennis Scott Willis on Tuesday, October 3rd.

The couple was charged with misdemeanor child abuse and placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with bonds listed at $7,500 each.

Dowdal and Willis are scheduled for Alexander County District Court appearances on November 20th.
