Taylorsville: Alexander Central dropped their 2nd straight game Friday night falling to Sun Valley.
The visitors from Union County jumped out to a 14-0 lead heading into the 2nd quarter on pair of TD passes by Noah Lineberry.
Maurice Howell Jr would get ACHS within 14-7 with 8:14 left in the 2nd period when he ran it in from 28 yards. The Cougars would have changes but turnovers, 3 interceptions and a fumble, doomed any chance of making the game close.
Lineberry went 17-25 for 227 yards and 4 touchdowns for Sun Valley. Andrew Doody caught a pair of touchdowns for the visiting Spartans.
Jeremiah Whitaker led the Cougar ground game with 98 yards on 11 carries. Elijah Bolick kicked a 39-yard field goal for AC who drops to 2-3 heading into the bye week.
Sun Valley is 4-1.
