Stony Point Woman Jailed For Violation Of Court Order

Payton Rose Schwantes, age 28 of Stony Point, was taken into custody on Tuesday in Alexander County. She is being held in the county detention center under a $200,000 secured bond for violation of a court order.

According to the NC Department of Corrections, Schwantes was given a 24 month suspended sentence on February 28th in Iredell County for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance.

Schwantes has previous charges still pending in Alexander County for felony trafficking methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine and felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance. A Taylorsville court appearance is listed for April 21st.
