Stony Point Woman Facing Charges

A Stony Point woman is in jail following her arrest Friday morning.

Alexander County Deputies arrested 34-year-old Brandy Lynn Miller. She was served warrants from Iredell County for felony conspiracy to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine and driving with license revoked. Alexander County charges include possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with license revoked. She is being held in the Alexander County Jail with bond set at $80,000.

Miller was arrested in 2019 after being implicated in an Alexander County double-murder. 38 year old Chad Lee Kennedy and Mark Jefferson Furey, age 57 were found shot to death inside a mobile home off Mt Wesley Church Road in Stony Point. The two men were living at the location and were found with multiple gunshot wounds.

Adam Thomas Morgan, of Stony Point entered a guilty plea for two counts of second degree murder in 2022. He is serving a sentence of 18 to 23 years of active prison time.

Robert Bryan Hoover of Stony Point, entered a plea of guilty on December 13, 2022 for two counts of second degree murder and was sentenced to serve 24 to 30 years.

Miller entered a plea for obstruction of justice in Alexander County Superior Court in 2023. She was released from jail after being given credit for time served in the Alexander County Detention Center.
