Stony Point Man Jailed Twice Last Week

A Stony Point man was arrested twice last week. As previously reported, 38-year-old Robert William Joll was charged with assault with a deadly weapon by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. The charge was related to an incident in Hiddenite leaving a man suffering multiple stab wounds. Joll was released on bond until Friday when he was returned to custody on a charge of probation violation. As of earlier today, Joll remains in jail. His next court date is set for July 28th.

Joll is serving a 12-month suspended sentence for drug offenses following an Iredell County conviction in December, 2024.
