Michael James Morgan, age 35 of Stony Point, was sentenced to serve 19-32 months in prison during a session of Alexander County Superior Court on Wednesday. Morgan entered a plea on a charge of possession or a firearm by a felon. Previous convictions in Iredell and Alexander Counties include felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, felony trafficking schedule II controlled substance and felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance.
