Stony Point Man Gets Prison Time For Child Sex Offenses

During a session of Alexander County Superior Court on Tuesday, October 6th, a Stony Point man agreed to a plea arrangement on child sex-related charges.

Dekota Tristen Stewart, age 29, Alexander RD., Stony Point, pleaded guilty to felony attempted first-degree sex-offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child. As per the plea, Stewart will serve 94-173 months in prison. He was given credit for 610 days served in custody since his arrest.

Stewart was arrested on February 3rd, 2025 by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.
