Stony Point Man Free On Parole Is Back In Custody

A Stony Point man has been arrested in Iredell County. On April 30th, Iredell Deputies charged 39-year-old Joshua Rick Bass of Old Concord Church Road, with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and parole violation. Bass is on parole following a 2025 conviction in Alexander County for injury to personal property. He was granted parole after serving three-months of a minimum nine-month sentence. In April, after allegedly using a bat to attack a man, Bass was arrested again in Alexander County and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

As of earlier today, Bass remains in the Iredell County Detention Center with a bond listed at $18,000.
