An Alexander County man already charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle has now been charged with felony probation violation. 30-year old Alexander James Welborn of Stony Point was charged in October on the vehicle theft charge. The new probation charge was added on Wednesday. Welborn is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $19,999. A January 3, 2022 court date is scheduled in Taylorsville.
