Stony Point Man Charged With Solicitation Of Minor

32-year old Cameron Joel Faxon of Calhoun Road, Stony Point, has been arrested on charges of felony solicitation of a minor, felony dissemination of obscene material to a minor and two misdemeanor charges of communicating threats.

Iredell Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release on Tuesday the arrest was a result of an investigation conducted previously. Detectives were investigating a sexual assault and that led to the arrest of William Joshua Byard, 30, of Stony Point.

The investigation led to evidence of other crimes linked to Faxon. He was arrested by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Department on December 15th. He was placed in the Iredell Detention Center with a secured bond of $100,000.
