Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a location in Stony Point on Sunday in reference to a stolen vehicle. Officers ended up arresting the homeowner on a felony drug count but not before a brief foot-chase. 39-year old James Arthur Blankenship was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. As of earlier today, Blankenship remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a listed bond of $10,000.
