A Stony Point man was arrested overnight in Catawba County. Robert Brian Hoover, age 36, was taken into custody by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office on eight charges of failure to appear. The charges include felony breaking and entering and injury to real property. Hoover is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $18,500. He has a a series of court appearances scheduled including today in Newton.
