Statesville Police Searching For Suspect In Series Of Armed Robberies

January 15, 2025 By Richard C. Gilbert

The Statesvile Police Department is searching for a man they say is connected to three armed robberies

On Sunday, January 12, 2025, at approximately 7:45 PM, officers with the Statesville Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 1500 W. Front Street. According to employees, two black males entered the store, demanded money, and left shortly after being unable to access the store’s safe.

As officers were investigating the incident, a second call came in at 8:15 PM reporting another armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 922 Shelton Avenue. The suspects matched the description from the earlier robbery. In this incident, a small amount of cash and various tobacco products were stolen. Fortunately, no employees were harmed during either event.

Chance Jalieb Jamison

Following an investigation by the Statesville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, Chance Jalieb Jamison, a 23-year-old from Statesville, was identified as a suspect in both robberies. Investigators also connected Jamison to an armed robbery that occurred on January 5, 2025, at the Dollar General located at 1703 Wilkesboro Highway.

As a result of these investigations, outstanding warrants have been issued for Chance Jalieb Jamison, including:

• 3 Counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
• 2 Counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
• 1 Count of Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
• 2 Counts of Felony Conspiracy
• 1 Count of Second-Degree Kidnapping

Jamison also has outstanding warrants from neighboring agencies and remains at large at this time.
This is an ongoing investigation, and the Statesville Police Department urges anyone with information about Jamison’s whereabouts or these incidents to contact Sgt. Wolfe with the SPD Violent Crimes Unit at (704) 878-3406.
