The Statesville Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday, November 24th at approximately 12:50pm.
Officers responded to a call on Lakeview Drive regarding a subject that had been shot. The officers arrived on scene and located Derryck Turner, 32, of Statesville suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.
