Statesville Police are investigating an Armed Robbery at Dollar General Store.
On Sunday, January 5, 2025, at approximately 8:40 PM, officers with the Statesville Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 1703 Wilkesboro Highway.
According to employees, a man entered the store, displayed a firearm, and demanded money. He forced employees to open the safe and fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No employees or customers were injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, wearing a light grey hoodie and light-colored pants.
