Statesville Police Charge Man With Statutory Rape

Statesville Police arrested 24-year-old Tajareia Lawon Aikee Blackwell, 24, of Salisbury, on Thursday. He has been charged with felony statutory rape of a child 15 or younger, felony statutory sex-offense with a child 15 or younger and felony indecent liberties with a child. Following a court appearance on Friday, bond is set at $750,000. Blackwell remains in the Iredell County Detention Center.
