Statesville Police Announce Arrest Of Armed Robbery Suspect

Statesville, NC – January 28, 2025 – On Monday, January 27, 2025, at approximately 3:00 PM, members of the U.S. Marshals Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Chance Jalieb Jamison in Mecklenburg County. Jamison, a convicted felon, was found in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest and has been charged accordingly.

Jamison has been identified as the suspect in the armed robberies of three Dollar General stores in Statesville earlier this month. He was served with outstanding warrants issued by the Statesville Police Department, including:

Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
Felony Conspiracy
Second-Degree Kidnapping
Possession of a Firearm by a Felon

In addition, Jamison was served with warrants for similar offenses from surrounding agencies. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Gaston County Jail, where he is being held without bond.

The Statesville Police Department extends its gratitude to the U.S. Marshals Carolinas Regional Task Force and the Mooresville Police Department for their assistance in this investigation and the successful arrest of Jamison.
