A Statesville man has been charged with passing a stopped school bus in Iredell County.

James Allen Jordan, 22, was arrested Wednesday and charged with passing a stopped school bus, careless and reckless driving and no motorcycle endorsement, according to a news release from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Iredell-Statesville Schools say the incident happened at 3:56 p.m. when a black motorcycle passed on the right side of the bus. The bus was stopped with its stop arm out along Wallace Springs Road near Cara Lane.

Students were getting off the bus at the time. No one was injured.

Jordan was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.
