Statesville Man Charged With Murder Following Overdose Death

A Statesville man has been charged with second degree murder by unlawful distribution of substance.

34-year old Nathaniel Scott Cass was arrested by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office on April 2nd.

Statesville Police began in investigation following the death. Information concerning the overdose have not been released due to circumstances surrounding the death.

Casss has been placed in the Iredell County Detention Center with a secured bond set at $300,000.
