Statesville Man Arrested After Alexander County Traffic Stop

Chadwick Maurice Eldridge, age 35 of Statesville, was arrested as the result of a traffic stop on Friday, November 17th. Alexander Sheriff’s Office Deputies charged him with felony possession of marijuana, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling or place for controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $80,000 and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday in Taylorsville.

Eldridge was also served warrants from Iredell County for assault by strangulation and assault-inflicting serious injury with a minor present. A Statesville court appearance is set for Wednesday.
