Statesville Couple Busted

Guns and Drugs don’t mix !

A Statesville couple face drugs and weapons charges following a traffic stop by the ikredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Tadarren Lashaud Mosley, 26, and Dejah Marie Joyner, 29 were arrested on Thursday August 13th. It didn’t take a great deal of investigation according to a press release. The Deputy spotted contraband in plain sight. Additional deputies were called to assist with the investigation. A search of the vehicle, revealed two concealed handguns, cocaine, heroin, hydrocodone pills, alprazolam pills and marijuana.

Mosley was charged with felony possession of cocaine, felony maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, felony possession of a concealed handgun, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Mosely was ordered held without bond because authorities say he was already free on bond in connection with a previous charge.

Joyner was charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, felony maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of a concealed handgun.

Joyner was jailed under a $50,000 secured bond.
