South Caldwell never tailed and romped past AC Friday night. The cold shooting night left the Lady Cougars with no player scoring in double-digits. South (10-7, 1-2) was led by Kristin Bebber’s 13 pts. Ava Anderson added 12 and 9 rebounds.
Alexander Central drops to 10-6 and 1-2 in Northwestern Conference play.

The Spartans led 33-25 at the half. AC cut the deficit to 42-39 after three periods and led by 3 points with 6 minutes remaining. The Blue and Gold damaged their cause going 5 of 14 from the free-throw line while South Caldwell went 9 of 11. Jayon Connor led ACHS with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Conner Setzer paced the Spartans with 28 points.
South Caldwell improves to 11-5 overall and 2-1 in league play. The Cougars drop to 8-8 and 2-1.
