Taylorsville: The battle between two of the top programs in the state was not a battle at all !
South Caldwell pitcher Zalee Brown carried a no-hitter into the 7th inning before allowing a pair of hits. She was dominant forcing 13 ground ball outs.
AC had two errors and number of other fielding short-comings that led to 5 of the Spartans runs being unearned.
Kennedy Crouch went 3-4 and scored twice for South, Holland Weisner had 3 rbi for the Lady Spartans who improve to 10-0 on the season.
Lainey Russell and Kensley Davis collected the only hits (both singles) for ACHS. The Lady Cougars drop to 9-2 and 2-1 in Northwestern Conference play.
