Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 34-year old Travis Scott Melvin of Stony Point on Thursday. He was charged with assault on a female and violation of a domestic violence protection order. Melvin is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center on the assault charge. A $60,000 bond is set for the protection order violation. A January 25th court date is scheduled.
