Due to wintry weather, the Alexander County landfill, convenience sites, and Rocky Face Park will be closed on Monday, January 17. County offices were already scheduled to be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Many roads are dangerously slick following today’s snow and sleet, and citizens are advised to use extreme caution if travel is necessary.
