STATESVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation crews will close one lane on Interstate 77 in Iredell County for about a week for pothole repairs.

Starting tonight, one lane of I-77 South near mile marker 67 will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow contractors to patch potholes on a bridge over Hunting Creek. Work is expected to be complete by Friday.

Motorists should plan for delays and use caution while driving through the work zone.
