Newton Man Facing Charge Of Robbery With A Dangerous Weapon In Alexander County…Updated

22-year old Joshua Nathaniel Mast of Newton is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center. He was arrested on Wednesday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office on Alexander County charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Mast has a court date scheduled for Monday, April 3rd in Alexander County District Court.

Update: The charge against Mast is in connection with an incident earlier in the month of March. Mast allegedly assaulted a subject at a location in Stony Point. Mast showed a handgun during the course of the assault leading to the charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
